The student must have completed 10+2 from a regular recognized board. Applicants need to clear NEET from 2019 onwards for admission in any country abroad. The student must be at least 17 years old as on 31st December of the year in which the admission is being taken. The student must have an aggregate of at least 50% in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology and must have English as a compulsory subject if the student is from the General category. The student must have an aggregate of at least 40% in Physics, Biology, and Chemistry, and must have English as a compulsory subject if the student is from SC/ST/OBC category. The MBBS in Ukraine candidates need to be medically fit. Students should have a valid passport.

SPORTS

  1. The sports complex of Poltava State Medical University (PSMU) invites everyone to participate in sports activities.    
  2. The university sports complex has 6 departments: for sports games, table tennis, aerobics, and rhythmic gymnastics, shaping, gym, and track-and-field athletics arena.   
  3. There are several sports sections: track-and-field athletics, basketball, tennis, powerlifting, weight – lifting, swimming, mini-football, judo, wrestling, chess, and others.  
  4. The stadium is created for physical education, training, competitions and different sports events.   
  5. From now on, every student and employee can play in these sports halls.
  6. The complex has a vast building with two dressing rooms with showers and washrooms.    
  7. There is a stand for spectators for 1000 seats.   
  8. The complex includes standard grounds for playing mini-football, basketball, volleyball, a ground tennis court, and outdoor sports equipment.      
  9. All sports grounds are equipped with modern lighting and an acoustic system.    
  10. Facilities offered by the Sports Complex of University: Stadium (football, athletics), halls for sport games (basketball, volleyball), Badminton, Table tennis, Swimming pool, Gym, Chess.  
  11. There are classes in more than 30 kinds of sport and forms of physical activity.

Extracurricular Activity

The extra-curricular activities at the Educational and Research Center for foreign citizen training are aimed at adapting foreigners to the study and living conditions in the new socio-cultural environment, upbringing the inter-ethnic tolerance, mutual respect, affirmation of moral values, healthy lifestyle, self-organization etc. Teachers of the center conduct educational and sightseeing tours around Poltava and bus tours to different cities of Ukraine. The center operates the “Meridians of Friendship” language club and at its meeting students deepen their knowledge of the language, get acquainted with the tradition of the Ukrainian people, its cultural heritage, as well as narrate Ukrainian students about the history, culture and traditions of their people.

 

HOSTEL

  • Poltava State Medical University possesses an excellent system of hostel accommodation. Rooms are fully furnished and consist of an apartment like system with a two-bed and a three-bed room with an attached washroom.    
  • On each floor, there is a common hall and a common kitchen for cooking. On the ground floor, there is a gym recreation center.  
  • Hostel rooms are furnished with beds, mattresses, pillows, blankets, two side tables, one cupboard per room and one table and chair per room.   
  • Occupants get a weekly change of bed-sheet and pillowcase. All rooms are centrally heated.  
  • A plumber, carpenter, and electrician are available on call, Seats at the hostel are available for all international students.    
  • Students residing in the hostel sign an annual contract and are expected to follow the rules of the hostel.    
  • Which include the closing of the hostel gate at 11.00 pm, registering all visitors to the hostel, not making noise and showing consideration to fellow residents in the hostel   
  • Students who are settled in a hostel must know and strictly adhere to the “Student Dormitory Regulations”, the “Rules of the Hostel Dormitory” and the terms of the Student Dormitory Services Agreement.
 

Life at Poltava State Medical University

 

Life in University is relaxed, friendly and devoid of any rush. Student café facility is an integral part of the hostel that provides wholesome and nourishing homely food. The cafe caters to the taste of students of different regions and students with varied culinary preferences. At the start some students may miss their home environment, native food, or hurried place, they soon learn to appreciate and enjoy a culture different on their own. In the hostel students need to supply their own kitchen utensils. Meals may be bought from various food outlets, the hostel features 24 hours access to security and emergency service making it easy to get assistance when one needs it.
